Description

The heated steering wheel system improves the thermal comfort of the driver by heating the steering wheel when manually selected.

Repair procedures

Inspection

Measure a resistance of NTC and Heated pad.

–	NTC resistance (Black / Black) : 10.0 kΩ ± 5 % [at 25 °C (77 °F)]

–	Heated pad resistance (Red, Black / Brown, Black) : 1.7 Ω ± 10 %

Measure a temperature.

–	The temperature of wheel surface grip must rise from -20 °C (-4 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F) within 6 minute

–	The temperature of wheel surface grip must keep 38 ± 4 °C (100.4 ± 39.2 °F) after 25 minute

–	At that time switch on, all measure point (1 - 8)
