Repair procedures
Removal
[Gasoline 1.6]
1.

Disconnect the push rod (A) from the clutch pedal.

2.

Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

G 1.6 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

3.

Remove the battery and battery tray.

G 1.6 MPI (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")

4.

Remove the engine control module (ECM).

G 1.6 MPI (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)")

5.

Remove the snap pin (A) and then removing the clutch tube (B).

6.

Disconnect the reservoir hose (C).

  

Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle it may damage the paint if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.

7.

Remove the master cylinder (A) by turning it clockwise.

[Gasoline 2.0 / Diesel 1.6 / Gasoline 1.6 T-GDI]
1.

Disconnect the push rod (A) from the clutch pedal.

2.

Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

D 1.6 TCI-NEW-U (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

G 1.6 T-GDI GAMMA (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

3.

Remove the battery and battery tray.

G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")

D 1.6 TCI-NEW-U (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")

G 1.6 T-GDI GAMMA (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")

4.

Remove the engine control module (ECM).

G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)")

D 1.6 TCI-NEW-U (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)")

G 1.6 T-GDI GAMMA (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)")

5.

Remove the fuel filter. [In case of diesel vehicle]

(Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Fuel Filter")

6.

Remove the snap pin (A) and then removing the clutch regulator (B).

7.

Disconnect the reservoir hose (C).

  

Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle it may damage the paint if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.

[Gasoline 2.0]

[Diesel 1.6 / Gasoline 1.6 T-GDI]

8.

Remove the master cylinder (A) by turning it clockwise.

Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

2.

After installing, fill reservoir with brake fluid and perform bleeding air procedure on clutch release cylinder.
