Repair procedures

Replacement

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

•	When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.

•	Take care not to scratch the body surface.

1.	Remove the tailgate trim. (Refer to Tailgate - "Tailgate Trim")

2.	Remove the rear wiper motor. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Wiper Motor")

3.	Disconnect the back view camera connector (A).

4.	Loosen the tailgate back panel mounting nuts.

5.	Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the tailgate back panel (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.

•	Replace any damaged clips.
