Kia Forte: Warning lights / Air bag & Seat Belt Warning Lights
Air bag Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
- Once you set the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON
position.
- It illuminates for approximately 6 seconds and then goes off. - When there is a malfunction with the SRS.
In this situation, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
Seat Belt Warning Light
This warning light informs the driver that the seat belt is not fastened.

✽ NOTICE - Warning lights Make sure that all warning lights are OFF after starting the engine. If any light is still ON, this indicates a situation that needs attention.
This warning light illuminates: Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position. - It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds - It remains on if the parking brake is applied.

Your vehicle has a maintenance-free, calcium-based battery. If the battery becomes discharged in a short time (because, for example, the headlamps or interior lamps were left on while the vehicle was not in use), recharge it by slow charging (trickle) for 10 hours.
Kia Forte 2019-2024 (BD) Owner's Manual: Trunk room lamp replacement
1. Open the trunk lid. 2. Remove the lamp assembly by using a flat-blade screwdriver. 3. Remove the cover from the lamp assembly. 4. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out. 5. Install a new bulb in the socket. 6. Install the cover to the lamp assembly.
