Kia Forte: Warning lights / Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
- Once you set the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON
position.
- It remains on until the engine is started. - When there is a malfunction with
the EPS.
In this situation, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Bulb replacement precaution Please keep extra bulbs on hand with appropriate wattage ratings in case of emergencies. Refer to the "Bulb Wattage" section in Chapter 8. When changing lamps, first turn off the engine at a safe place, firmly apply the parking brake and detach the battery’s negative (-) terminal.
