Resetting the system
- The last break time is set to 00:00 and the driver's attention level is set to 5 (very attentive) when the driver resets the Driver Attention Warning system.
- The driver attention warning system
resets in the following situations.
- The engine is turned OFF.
- The driver unfastens the seat belt and then opens the driver’s door when stopped.
- The driver takes a break from driving that lasts more than 10 minutes. - The driver attention warning system will operate again when the driver restarts driving.
System disabled
The Driver Attention Warning system enters the ready status and displays the 'Disabled' screen in the following situations.
- The camera sensor is unable to
detect the lanes.
- Driving speed remains under 64
km/h (40 mph) or over 177 km/h
(110 mph).
System setting The Driver Attention Warning system is set to be the Normal position when your vehicle is first delivered to you from the factory.
When the “Check System” warning message appears, the system is not working properly. In this situation, take your vehicle to an authorized Kia dealer and have the system checked.

1. Open the trunk lid. 2. Open the service cover. 3. Remove the nuts from the vehicle. 4. Remove the rear combination lamp assembly from the body of the vehicle. 5. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning the socket counterclockwise until the tabs on the socket align with the slots on the assembly.
Kia Forte 2019-2024 (BD) Owner's Manual: Trunk room lamp replacement
1. Open the trunk lid. 2. Remove the lamp assembly by using a flat-blade screwdriver. 3. Remove the cover from the lamp assembly. 4. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out. 5. Install a new bulb in the socket. 6. Install the cover to the lamp assembly.
