Kia Forte: Cruise Control System / To cancel cruise control, do one of the following
- Depress the brake pedal.
- Shift into N (Neutral) with an Intelligent Variable Transmission / Dual clutch transmission.
- Press the CANCEL switch.
- Decrease the vehicle speed lower than the memory speed by 20 km/h (12 mph).
- Decrease the vehicle speed to less than approximately 30 km/h (20 mph).
Each of these actions will cancel cruise control operation (The SET speed will disappear.), but it will not turn the system off. If you wish to resume cruise control operation, move the lever up (to RES+). You will return to your previously preset speed.
Follow either of these procedures: Move the lever down (to SET-) and hold it.Your vehicle SET speed will decrease by 10 km/h (5 mph). Release the lever at the speed you want to maintain.
If any method other than the CRUISE ON-OFF switch was used to cancel cruising speed and the system is still activated, the most recent set speed will automatically resume when you move the lever up.

Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. 3. Turn the engine off and wait for a few minutes (about 5 minutes) for the oil to return to the oil pan.

1. Open the trunk lid. 2. Loosen the retaining screw of the trunk lid cover. Remove the trim mounting clip and take off the cover. 3. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning the socket counterclockwise until the tabs on the socket align with the slots on the assembly.
